FAQ

Water Treatment — Frequently Asked

01

Do I need a water softener?

If your well or municipal water tests above 7 grains per gallon hardness, a softener will protect fixtures and appliances. We test before recommending — most Frederick-area wells benefit, but not all.
02

What's a UV system for?

Ultraviolet disinfection neutralizes bacteria in well water without adding chemicals. If your well has tested positive for coliform, a UV system is the standard fix.
03

Can you service a softener I bought elsewhere?

Yes. We service most major brands and stock common replacement parts.
